Boosting Self-Esteem & Practicing Self-Love

Low self-esteem may sound like:

-hating yourself or feeling angry or frustrated with you are

-hating your body or weight -feeling worthless

-being overly sensitive -being obsessed with perfection

-trying to people please -feeling anxious or worrisome


If this sounds familiar, know you are not alone. There are so many of us who have felt one or more of these feelings. The unfortunate thing is many of us choose to believe these thoughts. Believe that we are not worthy. That we are not beautiful. And it begins to decrease our self-esteem, which diminishes our self-love. Changing your thoughts, changing your mindset is sounds silly, but it opens up so much opportunity for ourselves. Here are some ways to boost your self-esteem & practice self-love.


Boosting Self-Esteem & Practicing Self-Love

1. Always use positive self-talk

2. Change your words, change your mindset

3. Set goals and stay mindful to your goals

4. Write them down and place them somewhere visible each day

5. Say & Visualize your positive affirmations (or favorite quotes)

6. Take time for yourself

7. Take time to accomplish your set goals

8. Think about how good it feels once your goals are accomplished

9. Look in the mirror and remind yourself how amazing you are

10. Take a shower or bubble bath

11. Brush your teeth and hair (sometimes something so small like this will make us feel good) Learn to be proud even if it seems small. Baby steps!

12. Create a vision and mission statement

13. Eliminate self-criticism and negative self-talk

14. Introduce Self Compassion & Self Care

15. Stop Comparing

16. Postpone Worries

17. Talk about your dreams and goals

18. Be mindful

19. Be FAST- F= Be Fair, A-No Apologies, S-Stick to Values, T-Be Truthful

20. Practice Genuineness (open & self-disclose safely)

21. Acceptance (failing, opportunity, change and compliments)

22. Practice healthy habits

23. Be open to change

24. Practice Empathy towards others, but yourself

25. Have a Guidance System to empower you during low times

26. Surround yourself by GOOD energy

27. BE YOUR BIGGEST FAN-

28. F.L.Y. -FIRST LOVE YOURSELF (everything else will come next)
